The moment you enter Sand Dollar Spa & Massage, you will feel soothed and ready to relax.
In 2006, Karen Garry and her husband opened the first Sand Dollar Spa & Massage on Anderson Island in the Puget Sound. They catered to the many tourists and locals who called that little island home.
Two years later, the practice grew out of those humble beginnings into our location in University Place, just a short ferry ride away from where we first began.
In 2018, her husband retired and Karen moved the practice inside Fusion Salon in Lakewood. As we move forward, all these years later, we want to thank you, our clients and friends for helping us to grow while not forgetting that we do this all for you.

She became a massage practitioner because of her personal love of receiving massage. Creating your perfect session is very important to her. She will be the first to tell you that you will receive the session that YOU need. Every body on her table is different and every time you come in your own body will be different. Karen takes the time before getting to work, to ask you what she can do that day to make it your perfect session. Her clients feel relaxed and pampered when they reluctantly get off the table. She also believes that her clients truly deserve the best massage they have ever had and they will get that from her. She makes sure they are comfortable, relaxed and taken care of from the instant they meet. She loves her job and the best part of her day is to hear the deep breathing or snoring of her clients in the middle of their treatment, as well as the look of pure bliss and relaxation when they walk out of the room.
